The Weever Fish is a rare example of a venomous fish which inhabits British waters – the species has spines on its back and gill covers which secrete a potent venom. Our Weevers are harmless of course and are beautifully decorated in a deep glaze, turquoise/blue body with burnt orange back and stripes, pink belly, an orange eye and dark grey tail with yellow spots. With a downturned mouth, every one is happy in its grumpiness! Looks great in a Shoal. Hanging method is similar to our Sardine and Anchovy, a pinhole to mount on a picture tack and two holes in the back to mount with wire, as preferred. 18cm, ceramic, price per piece.
