About The Artists

The Shoal works with a talented, family-run, artisan ceramic art business based on the coast of the beautiful island of Sicily.

The influences of the Mediterranean, North Africa, Roman and Greek histories pervade the island and its art.  The products are infused with Sicilian traditions and provenance.

The artists have a long history of creating ceramics and pottery and their exceptional, creative skills allow them to produce unique pieces with deep, vibrant, iridescent colours and a fabulous glaze.

The artists study marine creatures in their natural habitat, scuba diving to observe them up close, bringing that knowledge back to their workshop to create the fabulous pieces.  Their artisan skills mean they can produce and reproduce the different species faithfully, over and over, to the highest quality.
