Sarah Ward, CEO of The Giftware Association, explains why she chose The Shoal as winners

With the success of winning the Best Product Award 2022 at Glasgow Spring Fair, Sarah Ward shared her thoughts with Peter Earle and Diane of @theshoaluk as to why she chose them.

Sarah who is CEO of The Giftware Association, one of the three judges at the Glasgow Spring Fair who awarded The Shoal a Silver, commented:

“I was very impressed with The Shoal’s entry at this year’s show. It was clear to see the extremely high quality of the ceramics and the glaze, bringing out the intense colours of the fish and the octopus. I hadn’t seen anything like this before, the pieces are handmade and handpainted by the artists in Sicily, these are unique pieces not a production line item. The ability to create a unique marine art installation, a Shoal in fact, using the different fish and marine creatures will appeal to homeowners and interior designers alike. The interesting story behind The Shoal, their obvious passion for the product and the way they are developing their business are the other reasons why I recommended them for the award. It is well deserved and I wish them success!”
